Meet "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe

Larry Sharpe started watching Pro Wrestling in 1955, and entered Amateur Wrestling in 1963 in grammar school, grades 7 & 8. He wrestled four years in Paulsboro High School, one of the nation's leading amateur programs. He was Gloucester County College's first undefeated Wrestler, All-New Jersey Junior College champion two years. Seeded 4th National NCAA Junior College level, he transferred and wrestled at Trenton State (now called the College of New Jersey). The undefeated 1970-1971 College of New Jersey Wrestling team has been inducted into the New Jersey College Hall of Fame. Larry turned Pro with the WWWF in 1974 for Vince McMahon, Sr. Larry Sharpe also wrestled for Florida Championship Wrestling; NWA. Crockett Mid-Atlantic Promotions; Big-Time Wrestling Fritz Von Eric; Stampeed Wrestling Stu Hart Promotions; Big-Time Wrestling Ed Francis Hawaiian Promotions; Carlos Colone, Capitol Sports Promotion of San Juan, Puerto Rico; New Japan, All Japan, Universal Japan, and various independent promotions.

Semi-retired in 1983, he opened his wrestling school with "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers, and wrestled part-time until retiring in August of 1991.
